Partners
The City of Cave Junction is partnering with the library district to apply for a Community Block Development Grant for $1.5 million to help fund the renovation of the Illinois Valley library. The CDBG is a program of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and focuses on communities that have a majority of low to moderate household incomes. The City of Cave Junction and the wider Illinois Valley area meet these criteria.
Rep. Lily Morgan awarded $900,000 for this project from the Oregon State Legislature as part of the Local Community Investments program using funding from the 2021 American Rescue Plan.
We would like to acknowledge the leadership of Rep. Morgan, Mayor Meadow Martell, and the Cave Junction City Council has propelled this project forward.
