Cow Creek Band pledges $250,000

The Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians has made a pledge to donate $50,000 each year for five years to support the new library in downtown Grants Pass. This is great news! A $250,000 contribution from the tribe will make a significant impact on our fundraising efforts moving forward.

This generous donation from the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe Indians is an investment in a 21st century library for everyone in our community. Their support is launching our capital campaign and is setting us up for success. We are so grateful for their support of our mission to create a purpose-built facility which provides access to library and information services for generations to come.

A check presentation is scheduled for Monday, February 19 from 10am—12pm at the Grants Pass branch. Two other local organizations — the Children’s Advocacy Center and Home Bridging — will also be presented with a donation for their causes. Carla Keene, the tribe’s Chairman, will offer remarks and present the checks. This event is open to the public. Light refreshments will be available.
