Library foundation awarded Oregon Cultural Trust

The library foundation has been awarded $31,175 by Oregon Cultural Trust towards centrally located property for a new Grants Pass library.

“Oregon Cultural Trust has been a huge library supporter and we are so thankful for their continued dedication,” said Josephine Community Library Foundation Executive Director Rebecca Stoltz. “We are so excited to be in this first phase of building a new Grants Pass library and partners like Oregon Cultural Trust are instrumental in our vision of updated facilities, materials, and technology for the Grants Pass community.

Oregon Cultural Trust leads Oregon in cultivating, growing, and valuing culture as an integral part of communities.

A new, centrally located, larger building is proposed to replace the current county-owned Grants Pass library structure. The foundation currently has an option to purchase a property for $2 million by June of 2023. It will be a centralized space accessible to all residents, making the library a true community center.
