Our community loves its library. You can see it in the way people have stepped up, year after year, to keep library service strong in Josephine County. You can also see it in the numbers. Last year, more than 300,000 items were checked out across our four branches. Thousands of residents used public computers, and volunteers contributed hours of service equal to about 10 full-time employees.

That kind of support matters because libraries do not thrive by accident. They thrive when communities invest in them.

At the same time, libraries are facing growing challenges, both nationally and locally. In moments like these, it is more important than ever that we stand together in support of library service for everyone. That support does not have to be loud to be powerful. It simply has to be steady.
